Buy a dictionary, learn more words to make your vocabulary better than your opponents in the rap battle world. To keep your raps fresh you’ll need to find out an arsenal of similar words with your thesaurus. Get one of those word a day calenders even to experiment with a new word every day.

You should make lists of rhyming words, single words and groups of words. When you find new words add them to your list. Keep the list at hand when writing raps so you can refer to it when you need some quick ideas, this will help you overcome writers block too. Seeing lists of rhyming words can spark new ideas and help you move forward.

Mess with different ways to start your writing process. If your having trouble writing your rap verses, write the hook (chorus) before you write the rest.
